During the day, take a ride through the community and enjoy a leisurely walk to see the elk and buffalo that call Kendrick Park home. Visit the Trail End State Historic Site, once the home of cowboy-turned-cattle-baron, John B. Kendrick, who became Wyoming’s governor and US Senator. Enjoy the Flemish-style architecture of this grand structure.![]()
Spend a few hours at Bradford Brinton Memorial and Museum, the historic home and art gallery exhibit of fine western art and the lifestyle of a 1920’s gentleman’s working ranch. See Fort Phil Kearny, viewing the museum and remnants of the fort that precipitated the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
Enjoy Don King’s Western Museum where you can embrace the unique cowboy memorabilia and Indian artifact collections. As well as to enjoy the Sheridan County Museum’s presentation of our colorful cultures, commerce & characters.
Visit the Historic Sheridan Inn, home of the famous Buffalo Bill, and resident ghosts – a National Historic Landmark once known as the finest hotel west of the Mississippi and in Ripley’s Believe It or Not as the “House with 69 Gables.
Take time to tour and shop the historic Main Street District with 46 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, via the walking or trolley tours. Or visit the Mint Bar, a 100-year watering hole history, displaying the area’s western paraphernalia and wild game trophy décor.
Year-round, enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities, including playing Wyoming’ Golf Capital, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, hang gliding, photographing the scenery or wildlife, snowmobiling, or skiing. Enjoy weekly authentic western rodeos and world class polo at two venues, where you will stomp the divots, and relax in the wide open spaces.
