- Powder Horn Golf Course (public)–27-hole championship golf course rated by Golfweek magazine as one of America’s Top 100 modern courses and 12th Best Residential Course, and rated by Golf Digest magazine as Best Place to Play Golf in Wyoming. - Sheridan Country Club (private)—Located within the city limits, with Big Horn Mountain vistas. Offering nine greens with separate tee boxes for 9-hole, reasonably-priced play, and pro shop. Located at 1992 West 5th Street in Sheridan, 307-672-9765.
- The Buffalo Golf Club (public)–Fun to play, at the base of the Big Horns with mature, tree-lined fairways and lots of up and down play with duplication of par beginning at 12th hole. 35 miles west of Sheridan at 500 West Hart Street, Buffalo, Wyoming, 307-684-5266.
The Sheridan Trolley, which operates from approximately Memorial Day to Labor Day, tours a complete loop of many of Sheridan’s star attractions every hour. It’s a great way to get your first introduction to historic Sheridan, with continuous historic narrative on all rides, for only $2 daily. Riders can disembark or re-enter the trolley at any of the stops, easily making the trolley tour a full day of activity in itself. In the evenings, the trolley also provides transportation between many of the local hotels/motels and the Historic Downtown area.
