The Carriage House Theater is home to productions performed by Sheridan's own Civic Theater Guild.

"In the spring of 1957, the Sheridan Junior Women's Club formally established a theatre group, the Civic Theatre Guild, under the direction of Bill Thompson. Since that time, thousands of volunteers have contributed to the Guild's vitality and success." (Carriage House Theater: 2005)

Through the years it has undergone many changes, but whatever those changes, the theater has always been an integral part of the community. When the theater closed in 1982, a group of concerned people committed itself to save the WYO: to renovate it so it would continue to provide quality entertainment for the community. During the next six years Save The WYO raised the necessary funds and on November 10, 1989, the WYO reopened to once again serve the area and its people." (WYO Theater: 2005)
