America’s historic Main Street is still alive in the city of Sheridan, especially during the holiday season when the city hosts the Annual Christmas Stroll in the heart of the Historic Downtown district. Starting Friday after Thanksgiving, and continuing through Christmas Eve, the Stroll has grown in popularity and today attracts over 3,000 people for opening night festivities.

Sheridan’s Main Street district will be dressed in Christmas lights and decorated for the season. The Main Street thoroughfare is closed off as strollers enjoy a respite from the past and line up to ride old fashioned trolleys, horse-drawn wagons and vintage fire-trucks.
Entertainment and a fireworks display conclude the first evening’s events and of course Santa Clause greets children and young guests to hear their Christmas wishes. Other special activities include a performance of A Christmas Carol at the WYO Theatre on and the opening of the annual holiday art show at the Bradford Brinton Memorial and Museum.
