Eatons' Horse Drive

Eatons' Horse DriveEatons' Dude Ranch celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2009, kicks off the season with their annual horse drive.  Over 100 horses will be driven by cowboys through Sheridan, passing by the State Information Center about 9AM and then down 5th Street past the Historic Sheridan Inn, Buffalo Bill Cody's home and where he auditioned acts for his famous Wild West Show.

Eatons' Horse RunThe horses then head about thirty minutes out of town to the ranch, the oldest in the country and still owned and operated by the founding family.  Eaton's is unique in that it allows guests to ride its 7,000 acres unescorted on morning, afternoon or evening rides.  It also offers all-day rides, breakfast rides and overnight pack trips.
