The Canyon Ranch is home to 3,000 acres of private reserve land, and begins just 15 miles south of Sheridan, at the foot of the Bighorns.

Eaton’s Ranch, the oldest dude ranch in the United States, is home to 7,000 acres of open country, rolling hills, grassy meadows and hidden valleys.

The oldest dude ranch in the United States, begun by three brothers – Howard, Willis and Alden – in 1879 in North Dakota and moved in 1904 to the current Sheridan location for a more suitable riding terrain for their ever-growing number of guests.

The working cattle ranch is family oriented and family focused. Eatons allows guests to ride 220+ horses unescorted, and offers fishing, swimming and plenty of children’s recreation on 7,000 acres of beautiful open country with rolling hills, grassy meadows and hidden valleys.

The ranch can accommodate up to 125 guests (families, couples or singles) in the 51 cabins, and offers a unique chef’s menu. Group conference facilities are available as well.
