June 29 – Community Concert Band Conducted by Erin Schanzenbach

The Sounds of Summer season opener features our own Sheridan Community Concert Band, performing some of the best music ever written for a Concert Band.  Over 40 talented musicians from the Sheridan area delight Park audiences every year with rousing patriotic pieces, nostalgic traditional favorites, and innovative arrangements of popular songs.

July 6  – Joey Leone Chop Shop Band from Vermont

Originally from Manhattan, Joey Leone has been a staple in Killington Vermont for two decades.  From house band at Mother Shapiro’s, to 5 nights a week at the Santa Fe, to guest appearances and over 40 benefit shows, Joey is a busy man.  He headlined at the Woodstock Goodbye Irene benefit show in Woodstock with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry.  His “Dying Breed” trilogy of songs is epic.  http://joeyleone.com/

July 13  – GillyGirls Band from Fresno, Ca.

This is a wonderful band comprised of four sisters, two sets of twins.  Hailey 15 plays Guitar.  Jillian 15 plays mandolin, bass, and banjo.  Morgan 17 plays bass, mandolin, and ukulele. Savannah 17 plays Fiddle, Banjo, Piano, and Mandolin and does all the musical arrangements for the band,  Their music is Bluegrass, Gospel, Old Time String Band, and high-energy, old-time country (complete with yodeling) and A Cappella!  Ken Burns himself said, “We will be seeing them at The Grand Ole Opry soon.” info@gillygirls.us

Songwriter/ Composer/Vocalist/Multi-Instrumentalist Doc Fields and Vocalist/Keyboardist/ agent/producer Terri Weiland make up this dynamic band that produces a music extravaganza rivaling most 4-6 piece bands. Doc Fields is a wizard with his trumpet and a magician with his guitar.  His CD’s include Doc Fields Delusional, and Cyberdelic VooDoo,  plus music in TV and Film. Terri’s impassioned vocals and keyboards evoke the spirits of such greats as Janis Joplin, and Ray Manzarek.  She has performed alongside Doc since the 1990’s and is the founding member of Nemesys, the classic rock band from Alaska  http://www.docfields.rocks/
